In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On the wide celebration of the 690th anniversary of the birth of the great statesman and commander, patron of science, culture and art, Sahibkiran Amir Temur”, the Faculty of Social Sciences initiated the establishment of the “Amir Temur Room”. This space is aimed at promoting the rich historical heritage of the great statesman, his outstanding capabilities in public administration, and his unique experience in military strategy.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of the university, Abdug‘affor Qirg‘izboyev, who ознакомился with the conditions created in the room, including manuscripts, historical literature, exhibits, and visual materials. In his speech, the Rector emphasized the importance of this initiative in fostering respect for national history among young people and strengthening their sense of pride in the legacy of their great ancestors.
The “Amir Temur Room” is intended to function not only as an exhibition space but also as an academic and educational center, providing students with opportunities to study in depth Sahibkiran’s state-building policies, strategic approaches to centralized governance, military expertise, and constructive activities.
In addition, the room highlights the development of science, culture, and arts during the Timurid era, as well as the reforms and achievements of the Second Renaissance—widely known as the “Timurid Renaissance”—thereby contributing to the enhancement of students’ historical thinking and national identity.
